CAD: Operating System Compatibility for Autodesk Products ...
Autodesk releases operating system compatibility charts.
With all the talk going on all over the internet and the media about Windows 7 it is no small wonder that people have operating systems on the brain. One of the top questions we are hearing at Kung Fu Drafter is “Do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?” Talk about your tough questions. While no one can address the needs of every computer user at least Autodesk is listening to their users.
Earlier this week Autodesk announced support for AutoCAD 2010 and several vertical products based on AutoCAD 2010. Now to give users even more information Autodesk has released compatibility information for several of their other products concerning operating systems. Each knowledge base posting lists the operating systems and service packs compatible for each respective product. In some cases the information listed for each product dates back several product releases. Here is the list of products Autodesk has released this information for so far:
Hopefully this will clarify the question of operating system choices and requirements for these products. We can definitely see that we are going to be sending these links to plenty of people in the coming months.
