CAD+: Make Your Kung Fu Strong with 3ds Max Tutorials ...

We list some tutorials sites with over 3,000 tutorials for 3ds Max.

Here at Kung Fu Drafter we have no 3D skills. None whatsoever. In fact when we through dice in Settler’s of Catan we surprised they don’t just come up heads or tails. This isn’t for lack of desire; we’d love to be the possessors of awesome 3D modeling and animations skills. Alas, it is just not to be so. Maybe in our next lives we will have mad skills like the talented artists at CG Reels.

Even though we have no skills in the area we happen to know that several of our readers are avid and even professional 3D artists. So we have decided to help all of our readers improve their 3D kung fu by listing tutorial resources for your training pleasure. We combed our email, notes and picked a few select brains and have assembled a short list of tutorial sites that offer more than 3,000 free tutorials for Autodesk 3ds Max!

Autodesk's 3ds Max for 3d modelers and animators ...

Some of these sites host their own tutorial content while others (like Vision Widget) are lists that lead to other sites hosting the tutorial content. While most of the content is in the form of video tutorials there are, of course, some text only entries. Either way, we think that any artist working in Autodesk 3ds Max will be off to a good start with these five sites. We could not think of a single topic that was not covered by at least a handful of tutorials across this list.

We hope that this list of tutorials is going to satisfy the educational thirst of our ravenous readers. If you have another site that is your favorite source of tutorials for Autodesk 3ds Max please leave us a comment below and we will be sure to include it. Also, if you follow any of these tutorials and produce something you think is amazing leave us a comment or send us an email. We are always nuts to see great 3D work. There may even be a gallery reader content in the future …
