Autodesk releases Update 1 for AutoCAD Map 3D 2010.
There is just no end to the number of updates coming out of Autodesk for their CAD applications. Of course, when you have over 100 products to support the supply of updates has to be pretty steady. Just earlier this week we wrote about the release of updates for AutoCAD Architecture 2010, AutoCAD MEP 2010, and Autodesk Navisworks 2010.
This week Autodesk released Update 1 for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of AutoCAD Map 3D 2010. As you may know AutoCAD Map 3D is the Autodesk GIS transition program. Engineers, planners, surveyors, and more can all come together to analyze and visualize spatial data. Built on the AutoCAD platform, Map 3D 2010 uses powerful query tools along with Feature Data Objects to allow users to work with geospatial data in the familiar AutoCAD environment.
Users of Map 3D 2010 are going to find all kinds of updates and improvements in Update 1. Some of the great improvements in Update 1 include:
- Repaired memory leak
- Multiple overlay issues have been resolved
- Regeneration shutdown corrected
- FDO corrections
- All of the fixes from the AutoCAD 2010 Update 1
That is a great big bunch of improvements for an already great CAD / GIS application. If you are an AutoCAD Map 3D user this is a definite must have. We’ve downloaded and patched our installations here in the Kung Fu Dojo and we are already noticing zippier performance in some situations. As always we recommend that you read the accompanying Readme.txt file for your particular update download. Be sure to leave us a comment below and let us know what you think of this great update ...
