CAD+: Hundreds and Hundreds of Photoshop Tutorials ...

We look at more than 7 collections of tutorials that will help CAD professionals master Photoshop.

Adobe PhotoshopReaders of our blog know that here at Kung Fu Drafter we are CAD professionals working in a real world, production environment. That may seem like a straightforward proposition to some but in reality being part of a team in a working engineering firm involves a variety of responsibilities. As any CAD professional probably already knows, a large percentage of those responsibilities rely on skills that are not CAD oriented. It is for this reason that we decided last year to begin bringing information to our readers that would help with these other skill sets. We categorize those posts as “CAD+”.

As CAD professionals, the majority of the tasks we perform daily are CAD related. These of course include base and sheet edits, redlines, and plots. Part of that workload also includes the creation and editing of exhibit drawings. It is here that we find our Photoshop skills to be a great benefit. Whether we are working on exhibits for SOQ’s, promotional materials, or just helping a coworker with family photos, Photoshop is a huge part of our arsenal.

Adobe PhotoshopAdobe Photoshop CS4Most of our readers are already familiar with Adobe Photoshop. This monolith of the graphic editor world has really muscled its way into the mainstream of the popular conscience. We are sure all of our readers have heard a photo referred to as “photoshopped” at one time or another. When your product name becomes a verb, you know that you have made it. If you don’t believe us, go Google it. In the meantime, feast your eyes on this list of Photoshop tutorials to get your skills ready to take on the most ambitious projects.

If you are a CAD professional looking to expand your skills then you just cannot go wrong with a collection of tutorials like this. If you work through these tutorials to practice and perfect your skills soon you will be able to combine these individual lessons and tackle the largest of exhibit projects. If you like our collection of tutorials and know of a great resource with Photoshop tutorials be sure to leave us a comment below. Even better, leave some links so we can all see your great work. Then we will all know that your kung fu is strong …
