CAD: Write a Letter Home from AUGI CAD Camp ...
AUGI is holding CAD Camp around the country. We tell you why you should attend.
Here at Kung Fu Drafter we’ve been fortunate enough to attend Autodesk University in both 2008 and 2009. It is actually hard to explain how exciting, interesting and fulfilling it can be to go to a place filled with CAD professionals with similar interests. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of CAD professionals are able to travel to Las Vegas each year to attend Autodesk University.
Whether it due to scheduling or financial reasons, too many CAD professionals miss out on the education and social benefits of Autodesk University. But did you know that AUGI also holds smaller training events around the country called AUGI CAD Camp? That is right, there are even more opportunities for CAD professionals to learn from fantastic instructors and meet some great people. You can get all that for a much smaller investment and less travel time! Be sure to check the schedule to find the next AUGI CAD Camp near you.
If you are located in Texas then you could be fortunate enough to have Rick Ellis as your CAD Camp instructor. Rick has over 20 years of experience with civil projects and Autodesk products. In fact, you may recognize his name from some of the books on your shelf. Rick’s “Digging into AutoCAD Civil 3D” and “Digging into AutoCAD Map 3D” titles have helped more CAD professionals than you can shake a stick at. Now Rick will be at AUGI’s CAD Camps in Austin and Dallas Texas as an instructor. Although we think that they should be called “camp counselors”.
So do yourself a favor and visit the AUGI CAD Camp site and register. If you are a member of AUGI, you get a hefty discount! If you aren’t already a member you can join free and get the discount and all of the great benefits of AUGI. If you are planning to attend AUGI CAD Camp, leave us a comment and tell us which one. On the other hand, if you’ve already been to CAD Camp tell us how it was! We love camp stories …
