AU: Autodesk University 2011, Everything You Expect Plus One More Thing ...
Things are getting busy and even a bit nutty around Kung Fu Drafter. This is the time of the year when we pack our kung fu bags and begin traveling. Where is it that handsome, daring CAD professionals head off to when the weather begins to bite? Well nothing less than the biggest shindig in the whole CAD world. That’s right, we’re talking about Autodesk University 2011. Of course, the cool kids call it “AU”.
The Rundown
This year’s AU promises to be bigger and better than ever before. It just so happens that here at Kung Fu Drafter we have the inside line on the goings on and we are going to share with our readers. So here is the run down for AU 2011:
- 720+ Sessions
- 300 Instructors
- 21 Individual session tracks
- 10 Power tracks
- 140+ Exhibitors
- The Autodesk Gallery
- First year for Tech Shop
Doesn’t all of that sound like the ingredients for a fantastic convention? We think so and that doesn’t even list the great social and networking opportunities AU presents. Veterans of AU know that half of the value of the show is the network you will build with other CAD professionals. You can lean these pillars on all year long when the tough questions come up!
One More Thing
Of course, there is one more thing that is new and fantastic for AU 2011. Kung Fu Drafter will be on the list of instructors! That’s right, for the very first time our own Curt Moreno will be presenting a session at AU! If you’ve been flowing Kung Fu Drafter for any period of time, you have to know this is not going to be your run of the mill session, but more on that later.
We may even have one more surprise coming to our readers. Something we are working on to share as much of AU with our readers who couldn’t make the trip to Las Vegas. Leave us a comment below and tell us if you will be joining us at AU 2011 and what you’re looking forward to the most. Naturally, we assume our special Kung Fu Drafter session is on your list …
