We are now just days away from the beginning of Autodesk University and we’re pretty excited around the dojo. Not only is AU the premiere meet and greet event for Autodesk software users, it is the largest gathering of CAD professionals (geeks) in the world! Of course, that means that it is also the single largest networking and training event of the year!
This will be our fourth year of attending this great event, but not everyone is so lucky. We’ve gotten plenty of emails from readers expressing their disappointment at not being able to make the trip to Las Vegas. This makes us sad too because many of our great friends won’t be there this year. Naturally, Autodesk reaches out to those not able to attend the conference in person with AU Virtual 2011. That is one heaping helping of knowledge, and it’s free!
But we know our friends, and they are going to be at home missing out on the personal take, the behind the scenes moments. Well, do we have an announcement for all of you! This year Kung Fu Drafter is proud to partner with Cadalyst, the premiere publication in the CAD world, to bring as much “boots on the ground” coverage as possible!
That’s right; Kung Fu Drafter and Cadalyst will be recording video footage at the show, in the halls, on the expo floor, and (just maybe) some of the greatest parties at AU 2011! We plan to upload all of this great video content as often as possible throughout AU. That means you won’t miss the “feel” of AU just because you couldn’t make it to AU!
Be sure to check back at Kung Fu Drafter and the Cadalyst sites throughout the show for our updates and videos. We wish everyone could be there, so we’ll send as many video postcards home as we can. If you ARE going to be in Las Vegas, look for our cameras in the halls and everywhere AU is happening. We’ll be glad to record a video postcard for your friends back home too!
