Video: We're Looking at Blockbuster Movie Parodies ...

Here at Kung Fu Drafter we are purveyors of various interests. Whether it is gadgets, cooking, reading, or even brewing beer if it is interesting then we are interested. As such, our wanderings through the internet take us to various places and once we read a poem about the workweek that ended something like this:

"Friday, one more day and I'll be free.
Fun times ahead, just wait and see."

Now we don’t know much about poetry but we know what we like. And it’s not poetry. But we do like Fridays because that means it’s time for some video goodness and this week is no different.

First, we have a video that was created for Autodesk University 2010 and showed right before the sneak peak of Disney’s TRON: Legacy. This fantastic parody of 1989’s Dead Poets Society was an instant hit at AU, but afterwards it disappeared. Now, thanks to the good people at Autodesk (and presumably their lawyers) the video has been put on YouTube for everyone to enjoy. Really, we don’t know anyone who has seen this and not loved it.

We love that video! Especially the part where Mr. McCluskey hops over to the tough kid. We thought he looked just like Ed Norton (one of our favorite actors). So that set the standard for our search for a second video for today’s bunch of video goodness. Naturally, we wound up at one of Ed Norton’s foremost roles in Fight Club. Well when you think of a guy and his imaginary friend who cannot help but think of Calvin and Hobbes?

Ah yes, two more videos to help us all celebrate the end of the week. It sort of sets the bar higher and makes us excited for the weekend and the joys that await us. Of course, the unknown can be frightening for some people. Even if it is fun at the same time ...
