Well today is the day. Today marks the two-year anniversary of Kung Fu Drafter!! That’s right, two years! Who would have thought that we would have hung in there for the long walk and not fall by the wayside after the six-month mark like all those other poser blogs? You could have knocked us over with a feather when we realized it was already time for the birthday post!
What is it that keeps a blog alive? The answer is really a mix of commitment; desire to share information, great readers and a little narcissism. Ok, a little more narcissism than we may have originally led you to believe. But the great readers aren’t far down on the list! Without the support and communication of our readers, Kung Fu Drafter would just be another voice, shouting into the internet void.
So we thank you and hope that you have enjoyed the 250 posts of nutty, geeky and sometimes informative entertainment we have assembled for your voyeuristic pleasure. And a heartily spouted thank you to everyone we cavort with on a daily basis in the various places you might expect to find our brand of Kung Fu-ery like Twitter. We’d love to thank each and every one of you personally and maybe buy you a beer or lunch at your local Chinese food restaurant, but then we would end up forgetting someone and that would just be rude.
In place of that, we will give you this oath: Wherever there is CAD afoot, wherever there is geekery to be had, wherever there is free food and or swag, Kung Fu Drafter will be there! We hope you will be there with us as embark on our third year of shenanigans and see where this road takes us all.
Check back with us in a year to celebrate year 3 and do a little jig on the dance floor. We’ll be the ones in the room with the strongest Kung Fu ...
