So there comes a time in every blog where the readers has to witness a bit of confession and catharsis. So here goes: We hated math in school. Well, it’s probably more a case of hating our instructors more than the topic. However you slice it, our younger years weren’t steeped in the mathier arts.
Still there is a mathematician and blogger whose videos we can’t get enough of. Vi Hart is a creative young lady who makes even the most dull mathematic topics spring to life as she doodles in her notebook. We never fail to be entertained and educated. Especially videos like this second one shown here. Who knew that plants knew more math than we did?
So yeah, we can admit that we spent our younger years rebelling against the man and his mathematic tyranny. Now we just wish we had a teacher who could make math as fascinating as Vi Hart does. Who knows, we could have been mathematicians too. At very least we could probably balance our checkbook …
